Fiber optic lighting
While it will probably not be an issue with a typical earthship, it's possible to have natural light with fiber optic cables.

Recapturing heat from draining water
I stumbled on a site ages ago that I apparently forgot to include on this blog, but I recently found a couple of sites related to it.
Graywater Heat Recovery and REI both have products that recapture the heat from warm water that goes down the drain, transferring that heat to water coming out of the faucet. All told, this technology allows a homeowner to significantly reduce the amount of energy it takes to heat water.
The original site I found is EcoDrain.
Somewhat related: I'd love to have temperature-controlled faucet lights. Why? Funsies!

Horizontal Wind Turbines
http://cleantechnica.com/2009/10/23/the-new-nimby-defeating-wind-turbine/
These turbines mount along the upper edge of a roof rather than requiring a separate structure. Ingenious!

A solar-powered ice maker. Hopefully this will see some sort of commercialization so that it can be used as a zero-carbon freezer someday.

Recycling air
http://www.ctngreen.com/news/2009/03/ted-growing-air-recycle-indoor-air-100-with-just-3-plants/
There are many plants that I want to grow once I have my earthship, but this article explains that there are three in particular that can be used to maintain clean, healthy air: areca palm (four shoulder-height plants per person) for the living room, since it converts carbon dioxide to oxygen during the day; mother-in-law's tongue (six to eight waist-height plants per person) for the bedroom, since it converts carbon dioxide to oxygen during the night; and the money tree, which strips formaldehyde and other chemicals from the air.

A bed
http://www.floatingbed.com/
While it's certainly not essential to an earthship build, having these in the bedrooms would be absolutely phenomenal, and I think the beds fit an earthship thematically as well.

Outdoor furniture
http://www.inhabitat.com/2006/05/28/grow-your-own-grass-furniture/
In an earthship, I kinda wonder whether this would be feasible indoors as well. How awesome would it be if it was? VERY.

Building your own furniture
This site has free woodworking plans. Definitely would be cool to populate my earthship with home-built furniture.

Wooooo! Awesome! I've been wondering if there is a way to have a pool with an earthship, and it turns out that there is! Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha.
There is also Clear Water Revival (and this blog post about one of their products), but be warned that the page is all Flash; and Total Habitat's pools and ponds.

Guide to Writing a Business Plan
This page is somewhat tangential to the main topic, but I think making a living building earthships for people would be wonderful.

Building your own solar panels
While it takes a lot more work, building your own solar panels from factory-discarded and damaged cells is considerably cheaper. This site explains how to go about doing so.
